Species available are Ash, Black Cherry, Maple, Oak, and Walnut.  The first pictured is Walnut. The second picture is a set (sold as a set on a different listing) made from Pear tree wood (Pear is currently unavailable).
 
Mills come in four different heights including 6", 8", 10", and 12".  Diameters vary between 2" and 3" depending on the style.

All pepper mills have a 100% stainless steel mechanism, and the salt mills have a ceramic mechanism. All parts are made in USA.
 
All are finished on the outside with a high friction polish that brings out the beautiful woodgrain. 
 
All wood is from trees I've personally fallen, and are native to the eastern US. It has become my passion to not let the beautiful wood from these trees go to waste. I'm doing everything possible to prevent these awesome trees from being thrown into a landfill.

For the sake of sustainability, I'm now reusing boxes for shipping. Also when necessary, I can now make my own boxes from 100% recycled corrugated cardboard! Reduce, reuse, recycle!
